WHAT IS HIFU ?

HIFU & SMAS

HIFU selectively targets the superficial Musculoaponeurotic system( SMAS). Composed of collagen and elastic fibers similar to the dermal layer of the skin ; however, it has more durable holding property and less delayed relaxation after lifting procedures  than skin alone.

WHO IS A HIFU CANDIDATE ?

Young with normal wound healing ( clinical response to HIFU is dependent on de novo collagen synthesis). Patient’s with mild –to-moderate skin and soft tissues laxity. Old, photo damaged skin, skin laxity and platysmal banding skin may require higher energy and may be more than one treatment to achieve maximum benefit. Surgery recommended for older patients with extensive photoaging , severe skin laxity and A very heavy neck.
